My Dog Ate my Citronella plants!!

I am furious!!!!! This dog of mine is nuts. First she eats my serai plant, so I got rid of the plant. Soon after I was given a cili padi plant by mom-in-law, and she ate the leaves out of that too.

About 2 months ago I bought 2 citronella plants from Sg. Buloh, thinking that I can place them near where Cheusi (the idiot dog ) sleeps. It is believed that citronella plants can ward off mosquitos. Mozzys love to suck the blood out of Cheusi. It did work for a while... but somehow the plants began to change from green to brown. Lack of sun or too much water? I decided to place the 2 pots elsewhere, and plucked out the dead leaves. So it's been 2 months now and all of a sudden miss black beauty decided she feels like some mozzy leaves. I was like "what the fish" when I saw my two plants botak!!! And if that's not bad enuff, she had to puke them all out. Arrggghh... I was (am) so mad, I went out to look for her and guess where she was? That smart bitch was hiding beside my car, looking at her puke frm underneath.

to keep mosquitoes away, i need one of those plants...
I think you have to catch your dog in the act and train your dog that it's not ok to eat plants.

tried that kay... and she knows it. I am just amazed she eats all my other edible plants/vege except for the basil and pandan. Told hubby to get some lalang (weeds)home so I can plant them for her, but he just wouldnt do it :(

Sometimes, dogs eat plants when they are not feeling well. Do you walk her? If so, let her roam a bit and eat all the grass she wants. Or weed. Not the dried-up type though.

Awww...poor dog. Of course, you'll have to forgive her, because there is no animal as wonderful as a dog.
