School Break #1: Berjaya Hills, Bukit Tinggi

The first school break of the year has just ended. One week is way toooo short! Especially when sunny boy is down with the cough/flu virus from last Sunday till present :( We had planned to bring him to PD for a 2 nites' stay but had to cancel that coz a bad cough plus pool-water-beach-wind don't work.

So we ended up in Bukit Tinggi, somewhere near Genting Highlands. We thought it would be cold and breezy up there so we brought along some long pants and sweaters and socks.

Stayed at Colmar Tropical, a French-themed resort. RM273 nett per night inclusive breakfast for 2. The room we got was really small for the price we paid.

See how sunny boy is dressed? Hahaha it was hot like hell.... It gets cold during the night, when the air is at its fresh-est.

There's a playroom and video arcade room for the children at Colmar. Both either didnt have the aircons on, or the aircons were out of order. The rooms are so unkept and dirty.

We had lunch at one of the Colmar resataurants which was double lousy. Then for dinner we drove around the hill to look for more interesting food, but found none. So had to settle for Berjaya clubhouse's restaurant. Horribly horrible! I ordered a wild mushroom soup and guess what they brought me 30 minutes later? Campbell's condensed mushroom soup! Literally, condensed! they didnt even bother to thin it with milk or water at least. One small soup bowl (those white chinese soup bowl) for RM12, straight from the can?! Other food we ordered were sandwiches and chicekn burger. I forgot to take pictures of our food coz they were so bad my mind just went *poof'*

The only memorable moment we had was visiting the rabbit park. Upon check-out from Colmar the next day, we stopped by the rabbit park which is about 5minutes drive from Colmar. Complimentary entrance from the hotel, otherwise pay RM3 per person.

Sunny boy's first upclose encounter with many rabbits. Actually, my first as well ;)

The baby rabbits are new born. Sooo adorable.

The painted stork... reminds me of "the crane" from Kungfu Panda. They look like statues, they stay in one position for minutes.

The pony ride... additional fee. Sunny boy loves it. How happy he looks.

That's all. I'm glad we only stayed a nite. We would have starved and bored to death. Never again Bukit Tinggi!
