Today's post is about the garden ;) I bought many plants from the nursery, mostly cheap cheap ones to fill up the "big" garden :), and plants from the old house were moved here. The tall matured trees belongs to the house owner, I think they (the plants) have been there since the early 80's :)
First let's look at the condition of the garden before we moved in:
Really bad shape
How about this now? So neat and tidy. We requested for the owner to change the chain link fence and also to chop the tall trees in half.

before and after. I had the papaya tree chopped off (it grew by itself) and planted a 3-stalk bamboo tree. Two months later, 3 shoots appeared. I love love love bamboo trees. They grow so well and fast. And they give me a sense of serenity, especially when the wind blows. Lovely!
I wish I know the name of this plant... they looked really awful too before this, half dead and branches and weeds were all over the place. I cut off almost half of the branches, and a month later it's blooming like crazy. I notice they are very hardy plants and don't need much care.
These are wild plants, bunga bulu ayam it seems. Bees love them . Mom-in-law gave me a few stalks to plant in a pot. It's blooming like crazy too ;)
My all time favourite plants or trees or anything green is the cactus! I like them for their neatness (no leaves or flowers here and there, everywhere). The plant on the left is the yoga tree. Got it from Sg.Buloh nursery for RM80. It's not a cactus but it has got spiky and hardy leaves. Still looks neat no? The plant on the right is the aloe vera. Brought over from the old house. Boy do they grow well on the ground. They were skinny as hell living in a pot for 3 years.
I believe these are also from the cactus family. Given to me by mom-in-law (MIL), from previous house as well.
More cactus... given by MIL recently when I told her how much I love cactus :)) I repotted them and don't they just look pretty :)
Also one of MIL's. I think this is called the organ pipe cactus. Well this is one cactus I don't quite like. It's too tall and thin. How do you appreciate it's beauty?
